Pet owners have difficulty in tracking pets’ medical records and manage their documents. I began the very initial personal exploratory background research by casually chatting with our teammates and several friends about how they take care of their pets, the experience in taking pets to the vets, and what they think are existing problems. After first understanding the market trend, I helped structure interview questions,

● Any methods to keep up with their pets' medical records and routine medications.
Following each interview, I asked participants to prioritize five features from a wish list, identifying those they found most appealing, which gathered valuable insight into future feature ideation and development.

Challenge - Conflict with development
Since this is a complete platform design from 0 to 1, establishing a consistent design system is crucial for every designer to reuse when building high-fidelity prototypes. I proposed this idea to the team before creating the high-fi prototypes.
However, pushing this concept took much work, as other designers wanted to move faster to meet deadlines. I explained the importance and advantages of building a design system, emphasizing that it would save more design time and reduce the need for design meetings. It involved significant effort and buy-in as we reviewed current design ideas and ensured that every design component maintained a consistent style and alignment.
